2006 – Balance and harmony

The young vines (1999) finally bear some fruit - although at about 1/2 ton from nearly 2 acres, it's still very modest - bringing the total production to around 100 cases, up from around 50. Quality before bottling seems very encouraging indeed, with a beautiful texture and sense of balance and classic proportion. Time will tell...

Tasting Date:   5/10/2008 – Bright fruit, laced with spices, minerals, and flowers. Well balanced and elegant, it is somewhat reminiscent of the 2004 vintage, in a more graceful, purer form, and with a firmer underlying structure.
