A Syrah-Merlot field blend (with some cabernet and viognier). Its name reflects its dark, mysterious character.

Tasting Date:   5/29/2004 – Still our irresistible funky charmer. Still youthful purple-black, with a huge nose of spice and ripe berries, meat (lamb), and mushrooms. Big-time concentration and richness of texture, intense long flavors, complex and full of character.

Tasting Date:   12/2/2002 – Black color, concentrated wild berry and black-fruit aromas, dark velvet texture. Powerful, bordering on rustic, this regal experience combines the earthy and the etherial.
