Carte Blanche
Bright, minerally, intense, and elegant, with good balance and a distinctive character. A food friendly wine, which will go through various phases of evolution while aging for 15+ years.
Tasting Notes
Tasting Date: 4/11/2008 Light straw yellow. Intensely aromatic, expressing mainly flowers, herbs, and spices, with berries and some oak in the background. Medium-full bodied, lean, pure, and intensely flavorful. Again, flowers/herbs/minerals, with ample ripeness and fruit giving it a perfect balance. Unusually intense and persistent, truly elegant. This wine should evolve over many years (15+) and will keep changing in the process… One thing to note is that between every two "in focus" points of its evolution, this type of wine may well go "out of focus" and taste a little ackward, weird, tired, sometimes even appear oxydized before showing well again. Something like a snake shedding its skin…
