Carte Blanche
Lean, focused, lively, with underlying richness. Nothing upfront, all reserved for the attentive and the patient.
The four varietals make a beautifully complete, balanced blend of unique character.
Tasting Notes
Tasting Date: 5/16/2009 At our Spring Celebration: for me, the most compleat wine of the lineup: perfect balance and harmony, tightly holding it concentrated core of fruit, with beautiful acid balance, great poise and length. A decade + to go…
Tasting Date: 9/25/2007 This may be the most elegant vintage of the Carte Blanche yet; the wine is refined and initially austere, opening in the glass to reveal great complexity and length: citrus flowers, acacia, herbs, minerals. A unique character, especially in view of its Californian origins... Real class and elegance, with a great promise for long aging. I would venture a guess that this wine will evolve for 12+ years and live much longer than that.
