Syrah Heart of Stone

With more fat and upfront richness than the 02 Heart of Stone, the 2004 is easier to appreciate immediately; it does however show a similar long-term potential with is concentration and powerul structure and ends on similar flowery/mineraly notes.

Tasting Notes

Tasting Date:   1/2/2008 – Medium dark garnet. Aromatic nose, with strong flowers and spices (black pepper, tarragon, eucaliptus) in the foreground and animal (musk) and fruit in the background. Complex, concentrated fruit, rich smooth texture, polished tannins, excellent balance and length. Lifespan: 15+ years.
