Carte Blanche

Richer in fruit and deeper than the 2002 vintage, this wine combines the best characteristics of these three grapes: the sauvignon's tangy nervousness, the viognier's flowery spicyness, and the chardonnay's creamy mid-palate and ease of drinkability.

Tasting Notes

Tasting Date:   4/15/2005 – Expansive nose of flowers, fruits, and herbs. Medium body, with intense, rich flavors and lively acidity. This is fuller on the mid-palate and spicier than the last vintage. At this early stage the wine is primary (grapy) and strongly Viognier in character. The minerals do come back at the finish, though. Good balance and length.
