Tasting Notes

Tasting Date:   10/15/2007 – Fairly dark color, although not nearly as opaque as the 00 and 01 vintages. Very aromatic and complex in the nose with a strong fruity intensity nicely layered by various spices (sage is the first to come to mind), and an earthy-mushroomy dimension. Medium-full bodied, richly flavored and well balanced with good acidity and tannic structure. Perhaps more elegant than the earlier versions, with as much length and aromatic persistence.
